Working Principle: The unit samples generator voltage and current signals continuously. The microprocessor compares measured voltage against target setpoint and calculates control output through PID algorithm. PWM signal controls power stage to adjust exciter field current, stabilizing generator terminal voltage. All protection limiters are implemented by software logic. It supports local panel operation and remote computer configuration via serial port.
Installation Requirements:
- Install inside control cabinet, stay away from heat sources and large contactors
- Keep proper ventilation space around the controller
- Use shielded twisted pair for voltage and current sensing lines
- Separate signal wiring and high-current power wiring
- Strictly follow equipment grounding requirements
Usage Notes:
- Configure generator parameters in software before startup
- Check field current rating matching with generator exciter
- Prevent overvoltage applied to sensing input
- Keep cabinet clean to avoid dust contamination
- Save parameter backup file after commissioning
