Functional Features Independent opto-coupler isolation for every channel isolates field side and system bus circuit to eliminate ground loop interference. Each channel is equipped with LED indicator showing real-time switch status. Configurable digital filter suppresses signal bounce and transient electrical noise. Built-in channel diagnosis detects wire break and abnormal loop state. Hot swap design supports online module replacement without shutting down the whole rack. Material Composition Flame-retardant glass fiber epoxy PCB substrate. Optocoupler chips, sampling resistors and protection capacitors are assembled on circuit board. Gold-plated backplane contact pins resist oxidation. Terminal blocks adopt corrosion-resistant copper alloy. Front panel is made of high strength flame-retardant plastic.
Structural Characteristics Vertical plug-in card design compatible with Ovation rack backplane slots. Front panel integrates field wiring terminals and channel status LED lamps. Mechanical locking buckle prevents poor contact caused by cabinet vibration. Internal circuit layout isolates each channel to avoid cross-channel interference.
Working Principle Field 24VDC or dry contact signals are transmitted to module through front terminal blocks. Signals pass photoelectric isolation and signal shaping circuit and convert to standard digital signals. Digital data is transmitted to Ovation controller via rack backplane bus. The module continuously monitors each input channel and sends fault alarm messages to operator station when loop abnormality is detected.
Installation Requirements Install vertically inside standard Ovation cabinet rack and lock the buckle after full insertion. Field signal cables use shielded twisted pair wires. Separate signal cables and high-voltage power cables. Keep cabinet environment dry and dust-free. Complete protective grounding connection for cabinet.
Use Precautions Do not feed high voltage signals exceeding rated specification into digital input channels. Verify wiring definition and channel mapping before power on. Inspect terminal blocks regularly for dust and corrosion. Do not disassemble the sealed module housing.
