Honeywell CC-TDOR11

Product Introduction CC-TDOR11 is 8-channel digital relay output module of Honeywell Series C I/O for C300 controller. It receives digital command from C300 controller and drives dry contact relay output for interlock, alarm lamp, solenoid valve and auxiliary equipment. Each channel provides independent relay contact, and supports normally open or normally closed contact configuration. It detects relay circuit fault and contact status. It communicates with C300 controller via dedicated Series C backplane bus. It supports hot swap replacement and removable terminal block design for convenient field maintenance. It is widely used for safety interlock and binary control output in industrial process control.

Structural Features Compact plug-in module form factor matching Series C C300 I/O chassis slot. Front panel integrates removable terminal plug and channel LED indicators. Rear backplane connector provides power supply and digital communication with C300 controller. Internal PCB layout separates relay high voltage contact circuit and low voltage logic circuit for isolation. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion. Locking clip secures module firmly in chassis slot. Independent isolation barrier for each channel reduces cross-channel interference.

Working Principle C300 controller sends digital output command to CC-TDOR11 module via backplane bus. Optocoupler isolation circuit receives command and drives corresponding relay coil. Relay contact changes state to switch external field circuit. Sampling circuit continuously monitors relay coil status and contact feedback. If relay drive fault or communication timeout is detected, module switches all channels to pre-configured safe state. Module uploads channel status and fault information back to controller and Experion PKS operator station.

Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before inserting module into vacant chassis slot. Lock module buckle after alignment. Connect field control cable to relay terminal block. Configure contact type and communication loss fail-safe value in Experion engineering software. Power on chassis and test relay action by forcing output point. Separate relay output cable from analog signal cable in wiring duct. Verify interlock action before putting safety loop into service.

Usage Notes Do not exceed rated contact load of relay channel. Add external surge suppression diode for inductive load such as solenoid coil. Do not connect high voltage power directly to terminals without load protection. Check terminal screw tightness periodically under vibration environment. Replace relay module when contact burnout or adhesion fault occurs.
