Functional Features It generates high stability reference clock signal for all rack modules. It distributes unified time tick signal to control logic board, communication paddle cards and I/O interface cards. It provides time stamp for alarm event, trend data and fault log. It supports redundant clock source switching when primary clock board fails. It automatically compensates clock drift caused by temperature variation. It provides front panel LED indicators for power, clock active and fault status. It supports hot swap replacement in redundant rack configuration. It maintains continuous timing output during brief power fluctuation. It uploads clock fault and synchronization loss alarm to TDC 3000 operator station.
Application Scenarios TDC 3000 main control rack timing synchronization Petrochemical plant DCS unified time base node Refinery TDC 3000 trend and alarm time recording rack Power plant legacy DCS sequence of event recording cabinet Chemical plant batch process time synchronization control node

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant conformal coated multilayer PCB High precision crystal oscillator module Clock divider and signal driver chip Temperature compensation circuit Watchdog monitoring circuit Gold plated edge connector for rack backplane Metal front panel with extraction handle and multi-color LED indicators UL94 V-0 plastic locking buckle
Structural Features Standard TDC 3000 plug-in paddle card form factor. Front metal panel integrates power, clock active and fault LED indicators plus extraction handle. Rear gold plated edge connector mates with rack backplane power and clock distribution bus. Internal PCB layout isolates clock oscillator circuit from noisy power circuit to reduce timing jitter. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion into rack slot. Locking clip secures module firmly after installation. Internal shielding structure reduces electromagnetic interference to crystal oscillator.
Working Principle After power on, crystal oscillator generates stable high-frequency reference clock signal. Clock divider circuit converts signal into timing tick suitable for TDC 3000 backplane bus. Clock signal is broadcast to all modules on backplane bus. Each control and communication module uses this unified tick to align sampling cycle, control execution cycle and data time stamp. When clock signal drift or oscillator failure is detected, redundant clock source takes over timing output immediately. Fault diagnostic circuit uploads clock abnormality alarm to operator station.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before handling and installation. Insert the module into designated clock slot of TDC 3000 rack and align anti-key notch. Lock front extraction handle after full insertion. Complete clock redundancy configuration in TDC 3000 engineering software. Power on rack and wait for clock active LED steady on. Verify time synchronization status of all rack modules. Test redundant clock switchover function manually.
Usage Notes Do not insert the module into non-clock dedicated slot. Keep anti-static protection during transportation and replacement. Avoid strong vibration impact on crystal oscillator. Do not open module housing or replace internal crystal oscillator. Back up system time configuration before module replacement.
