Functional Features Bidirectional protocol conversion between S200 internal backplane bus and external control network. Real-time collection of digital and analog I/O channel data from all modules on same rack. Transmit control commands from host controller to S200 I/O modules. Continuous hardware and communication diagnostics, upload fault status to host system. Hot-swap capability allows module replacement without powering down entire I/O rack. Front panel LED indicators display power status, network connection and fault events. Supports configuration via engineering software.
Application Scenarios Factory assembly line distributed I/O control, HVAC building automation, water treatment plant remote signal collection, packaging machine control system, process plant auxiliary equipment monitoring.
Performance Parameters Fast data refresh cycle for I/O signal transmission. High immunity against industrial electromagnetic interference. Isolation circuit blocks ground loop potential difference damage. Rapid detection of network disconnection and backplane communication failure. Stable continuous operation in cabinet temperature cycling environment.
Material Composition Front Panel: Flame retardant black ABS plastic. Main PCB: FR4 multilayer printed circuit board with conformal coating. Core Components: Bus communication processor, opto-isolation chips, EMC suppression circuit. Housing: Reinforced plastic DIN rail enclosure. Indicator: SMD high brightness LED. Terminal Block: Screw type plastic terminal block.
Structural Features Compact DIN rail snap-on housing. Internal PCB layout separates backplane signal circuit and external network circuit. Front panel exposes status LEDs and network connector. Rear edge connector plugs into rack backplane. Side plastic latch secures module onto DIN rail.
Working Principle I/O modules transmit field measurement and status data through rack backplane to -ACN. The adapter processor packages I/O data into fieldbus protocol frames and sends to upper controller. It receives setpoint and output commands from host controller, converts protocol data into internal backplane signals and distributes commands to corresponding I/O modules. The module monitors communication quality continuously and triggers fault alarm once link interruption or hardware error appears.
Installation Requirements Mount module on standard DIN rail inside control cabinet. Install -ACN at the leftmost slot of I/O rack. Use shielded twisted pair cable for fieldbus wiring with single point shield grounding. Separate communication cable from high power AC cables. Download module configuration parameters after power on. Reserve ventilation clearance around module for heat dissipation.
Usage Notes Do not apply voltage exceeding 24 VDC to backplane terminals. Check bus cable shielding and grounding strictly. Wear anti-static wristband during module replacement. Re-verify communication configuration after module swap. Prevent cabinet condensation which causes PCB leakage.
