Emerson 1C31157G02

Product Introduction: This terminal base belongs to Emerson Ovation DCS control system hardware. It acts as the signal interface between field process instruments and Ovation I/O cards. It handles both analog and discrete signal routing, provides built-in surge suppression and signal filtering for signal loops, and supports long-term continuous operation inside industrial control cabinets. It is designed to pair with corresponding Ovation I/O modules to complete data acquisition and control output tasks.

Description

Emerson 1C31157G02

Technical Specifications: Nominal supply voltage: 24 VDC Isolation rating: 1500 VAC between field side and logic circuit side Operating temperature range: 0 ℃ to 60 ℃ Storage temperature range: -40 ℃ to 85 ℃ Relative humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing Compliant standards: IEC 61010, ANSI/ISA-71.04

Functional Features: Screw type terminals for field cable termination. Built-in transient voltage suppression components to absorb voltage spikes from field wiring. EMI filter circuits suppress high-frequency electromagnetic interference. LED power status indicator shows power supply health. Reserved test points allow technicians to measure signal values without disconnecting field cables. It supports hot swapping of matched I/O cards. Anti-mismatch mechanical structure prevents wrong card insertion.

Application Scenarios: Thermal power plant DCS control cabinets, petrochemical process monitoring systems, pulp and paper production automation, water treatment plant control systems, metallurgical process parameter collection, cement plant continuous production monitoring.

Performance Parameters: Terminal contact resistance: less than 10 milliohm Signal bandwidth: DC to 10 kHz Vibration withstand: 10 Hz to 150 Hz, 0.5g Shock withstand: 10g peak acceleration, 11 ms duration MTBF value: 208000 hours under standard industrial cabinet environment

Material Composition: Main housing adopts UL94-V0 flame-retardant thermoplastic. Terminal screws use nickel-plated brass. Internal printed circuit board uses FR-4 glass fiber epoxy substrate. Surge protection components are encapsulated with epoxy resin. DIN rail mounting spring clips are made of stainless steel.

Structural Features: Standard 35mm DIN rail snap mounting structure. The top area is reserved as card socket for I/O card insertion. The front panel arranges screw terminals in orderly rows. Printed channel marking area is reserved on front shell for field identification. Dust-proof grooves are molded on housing surface to reduce dust accumulation. Built-in positioning buckles guarantee accurate alignment with matched I/O cards.

Working Principle: Signals transmitted from field instruments connect to screw terminals on the front panel. Signals pass through built-in surge protection circuits and EMI filter circuits, then transfer to the I/O card plugged on the top socket. The I/O card converts analog or digital signals into digital data and transmits data to Ovation controller. The terminal base also distributes 24V DC power supply for field signal loops.

Installation Requirements: Mount on standard 35mm DIN rail inside control cabinet. Maintain 25mm vertical clearance above and below the module for heat dissipation. Reserve minimum 10mm gap between adjacent terminal bases. Route field instrument cables and internal control cabinet power cables in separate cable trays. Tighten terminal screws with torque value between 0.6 N·m and 0.8 N·m. Complete power cut-off operation before wiring work.

Precautions for Use: Do not install in environments with corrosive gas, conductive dust or heavy oil mist. Do not apply voltage exceeding rated value to any signal terminal. Wear anti-static wristband when touching internal circuit components. Inspect terminal screw tightness during regular maintenance cycles. Disconnect all field wiring before removing the terminal base from DIN rail. Avoid pulling field cables forcibly to prevent terminal deformation.
