Functional Features High precision analog to digital conversion ensures accurate collection of field measurement signals. Built-in two-wire transmitter loop power supply eliminates the need for external power sources for field instruments. Material Composition The main circuit board adopts industrial flame retardant glass fiber epoxy PCB substrate. High precision ADC chips and signal conditioning components are soldered on the circuit board. The metal shielding shell isolates external electromagnetic interference. The backplane connector uses gold-plated contact pins to maintain low contact resistance and anti-oxidation performance. Terminal blocks use high conductivity copper alloy with anti-corrosion surface treatment.
Structural Characteristics Standard plug-in card structure matching Ovation cabinet backplane slots. Front panel integrates field wiring terminal blocks and channel status LED lamps. Mechanical locking buckle prevents module loosening caused by equipment vibration. Internal circuit layout separates analog signal circuit and digital bus circuit to reduce signal crosstalk. Compact size saves cabinet installation space.
Working Principle 4-20mA analog signal from field transmitters enters the module through front terminal blocks. The signal conditioning circuit amplifies and filters the weak analog signal. The ADC chip converts analog signals into digital values. Digital data is sent to the Ovation controller through the backplane bus. The module continuously monitors the current value of each channel and judges abnormal states such as wire breakage, then uploads fault diagnostic information to the DCS system.
Installation Requirements Insert the module into the matched Ovation rack backplane slot and lock the buckle. Field instrument cables adopt shielded twisted pair wires. The shielding layer of cables connects to the cabinet grounding bus bar at single end. Signal cables and high voltage power cables are laid in separate cable grooves. Reserve heat dissipation gaps between adjacent modules. Keep the cabinet dry and dust-free.
Use Precautions Check signal wiring polarity before powering on the module. Do not access voltage signals that exceed the rated range into current input channels. Conduct regular calibration of measurement accuracy according to maintenance cycles. Prevent metal debris and dust from falling into terminal blocks. Replace the module immediately when persistent channel fault alarms occur.
