Structural Features Compact plug-in module form factor matching Rail-A I/O chassis slot. Front panel integrates removable terminal plug and channel LED indicators. Rear backplane connector provides power supply and digital communication with Rail-A controller. Internal PCB layout separates analog output driving zone and digital communication zone to reduce electromagnetic interference. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion. Working Principle Rail-A controller sends digital setpoint command to TC-OVA081 module via backplane bus. DAC chip converts digital command into analog signal. Driving circuit amplifies signal to standard 4-20mA or 0-10VDC output to field actuator. Sampling circuit continuously monitors output loop current and voltage. If overload or short circuit is detected, the module triggers fault alarm and switches output to pre-configured safe state. Module uploads channel status and fault information back to Rail-A controller and Experion PKS.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before inserting module into vacant Rail-A chassis slot. Lock module buckle after alignment. Connect shielded twisted pair control cable to actuator or valve positioner terminals. Configure output signal type, range and communication loss fail-safe value in Experion engineering software. Power on chassis and calibrate output range. Separate analog output cable from high voltage power cable in wiring duct.
Usage Notes Check load resistance of actuator before commissioning to match output specification. Do not connect inductive load directly to output terminals without surge protection device. Shielded twisted pair cable is mandatory for analog output wiring. Do not apply external AC voltage to output terminals. Verify fail-safe action before putting modulating loop into service.
