Emerson MAS2600 G10-05-01P

Product Introduction MAS2600 G10-05-01P is a vibration and temperature monitoring I/O module for the Emerson CSI machinery condition monitoring family. The module accelerates, velocity, displacement vibration, and temperature signals from rotating machinery and uploads them over a backplane bus to the condition monitoring system, supporting predictive maintenance of steam turbines, fans, pumps, and compressors. G10-05-01P denotes a specific channel configuration.

Working Principle ICP accelerometer signals enter terminals; a constant-current source powers the ICP sensor. Signals after anti-aliasing filtering and programmable gain are synchronously sampled by 24-bit ADC to digital waveforms. The FPGA computes overall, peak-to-peak, and kurtosis in real time. Waveforms and features upload over the backplane to the condition monitoring system. Temperature channels acquire Pt100 and convert to temperature. LEDs indicate channel status.

Installation Requirements

  • Insert rack slot with power off and ESD
  • Coaxial cable shield single-point grounding
  • Route sensor cables away from power cables
  • Rack grounding
  • Temperature -20 °C to +60 °C
  • Configure channel sensitivity in AMS software after power-up

Precautions

  • ICP sensor sensitivity must match module configuration
  • Do not over-bend coaxial cable
  • Do not hot-swap online
  • Wear ESD wrist strap
  • Store spares in anti-static moisture-proof packaging
  • Periodically calibrate sensor sensitivity
