Description
Honeywell CC-PCNTO2
Technical Specifications Combined pulse input and SOE digital input channels; high-resolution microsecond-level time stamping; supports dry contact and active 24VDC discrete signals; backplane 24VDC power supply; supports hot-swap operation; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; rack slot mounting; UL, CE and Class I Division 2 certification.
Functional Features It captures pulse edge signals from field flow instruments and completes pulse accumulation and frequency calculation. It records precise timestamp for each digital input state change event. It sorts event records by time sequence and transmits data to Experion event server. It detects signal loss and channel fault of pulse and discrete input points. It supports time synchronization with Experion system clock to guarantee timestamp accuracy.
Application Scenarios Sequence of events recording for refinery ESD safety system; high-speed flow pulse collection for oil custody transfer metering; interlock event timestamp capture for chemical plant reactor shutdown system.
Performance Parameters Event timestamp resolution meets industrial SOE standard; pulse counting accuracy is stable under high-frequency input; time synchronization error maintains within system specification; event data storage will not be lost during short-time power fluctuation.
Material Composition Main circuit board uses multi-layer FR4 PCB with G3 conformal coating; high-precision timing and counting chip is industrial FPGA; backplane edge connector pins are gold-plated; front panel is powder-coated cold rolled steel; side locking latches are spring steel.
Structural Characteristics Single-width vertical plug-in module for Series C rack; front panel fitted with power, run, fault and channel status LED indicators; mechanical keying notch to match corresponding SOE IOTA termination base; elastic latches on both sides for rack fixing; passive convection cooling.
Working Principle Field pulse and discrete contact signals transmit to matched IOTA termination base and enter CC-PCNTO2 through backplane. The FPGA chip captures signal edge, marks event timestamp synchronized with system clock, counts pulse number and calculates flow value. Event and metering data are packaged and sent to C300 controller and Experion event server. When signal state changes abnormally, the module stores the timestamp record and triggers channel fault alarm.
Installation Requirements Insert the module into dedicated SOE and pulse I/O slot of Series C rack and lock latches. Use shielded twisted-pair cable for field pulse and interlock signal wiring. Configure event trigger edge and pulse scaling parameters in Experion engineering software. Ensure system time synchronization server runs normally. Cabinet grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Usage Notes Verify timestamp accuracy with system time source after installation. Wear anti-static wrist strap during hot-swap operation. Do not apply high voltage to pulse and SOE input channels. Retain event log backup regularly for safety analysis.
