Honeywell CC-TAIM01
Technical Specifications Total 64 channels of low-level signal termination; supports multiple thermocouple types including K, S, T, E, J; supports 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD; input signal range -20mV to 100mV; 24VDC power supplied by rack backplane; built-in precision cold junction compensation sensor; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; channel-to-channel galvanic isolation; mounting form is standard rack slot installation; certified by UL and CE.
Functional Features It collects large quantities of thermocouple and RTD field cables onto labeled screw terminal blocks. It integrates built-in cold junction compensation circuit to eliminate thermocouple reference junction temperature error. It carries passive RC filter circuits to suppress high-frequency electromagnetic noise from field wiring. It provides transient voltage suppression for each channel to absorb surge interference. It transmits conditioned low-level signals to the upper multiplexer IOM card through backplane connector. It supports channel-by-channel fault diagnosis for open circuit and short circuit of temperature sensors.
Application Scenarios Mass thermocouple temperature signal termination for chemical reactor control cabinets; furnace and boiler RTD temperature collection in power plant DCS systems; temperature monitoring wiring base for refinery distillation tower trays; multi-point temperature measurement termination for pharmaceutical reaction vessels.
Performance Parameters Cold junction compensation precision meets industrial thermocouple measurement requirements; filter cutoff frequency adapts to slow-changing temperature signals; terminal contact resistance remains stable under cabinet vibration; fault detection response time matches the multiplexer module scan cycle.
Material Composition Base housing adopts flame-retardant PC engineering plastic; internal circuit board is FR4 flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal screws and conductive shrapnel are tin-plated copper alloy; backplane connector pins are gold-plated; precision NTC temperature sensor is installed for cold junction compensation; metal fixing bracket is cold-rolled steel with anti-rust coating.
Structural Characteristics Rack-mounted single-width termination base; front panel printed with channel number, sensor type marking and terminal function labels; orderly arranged screw terminals for field cable access; rear integrated male backplane connector to mate with IOM electronic card; side elastic latches for locking to rack rail; fool-proof keying structure to prevent mismatched IOM insertion.
Working Principle Field thermocouple or RTD sensor cables connect to the screw terminals of CC-TAIM01. Low-level millivolt or resistance signals pass through surge suppression and RC filtering circuits. The on-board cold junction compensation sensor measures the terminal block temperature and compensates thermocouple reading deviation. Processed signals are sent to the multiplexer IOM module through backplane connector. The base does not perform analog-to-digital conversion, it only completes wiring concentration, signal protection and cold junction compensation.
Installation Requirements Mount the termination base on standard Experion rack rails. Confirm the mechanical keying notch matches the paired multiplexer IOM module before installation. Torque all field terminal screws to the value specified in Honeywell installation manual. Separate temperature signal cables and high-power AC cables in different wiring ducts. Keep the terminal area away from local heat sources inside the cabinet. Cabinet grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Usage Notes Do not connect 4-20mA high-level current signal to the low-level signal terminals. Confirm sensor wiring mode of RTD matches 2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire setting in engineering software. Wear anti-static wrist strap when installing and removing matched IOM modules. Do not detach the IOTA base while field temperature sensors remain connected to live circuits. Clean terminal blocks periodically to prevent dust accumulation causing poor contact and temperature reading drift.
