Emerson MMS6210

Product Introduction: The MMS6210 is Emerson MMS series rotational speed and phase monitoring module. It receives pulse signal from speed probe installed on rotating machinery. It calculates rotating speed, phase angle and rotor turn count. It monitors overspeed, underspeed and zero speed state of rotating equipment. It outputs relay alarm and trip signal when speed exceeds threshold. It transmits speed and phase data to upper DCS and monitoring system. It provides overspeed protection for turbine, compressor and generator.

Description

Emerson MMS6210

al compressor speed monitoring, generator set rotational speed protection, large fan speed detection, high-speed pump speed monitoring, rotating machinery phase reference measurement.

Performance Parameters: Speed measurement accuracy: ±1 rpm Vibration resistance: 10 Hz to 150 Hz, 0.5 g Shock resistance: 10 g peak acceleration, 11 ms duration MTBF value: 198000 hours

Material Composition: Module housing: UL94-V0 flame-retardant metal shell. Main PCB: FR-4 glass fiber epoxy substrate. Backplane connector pins: gold-plated copper alloy. Signal terminal blocks: nickel-plated brass. Side locking latches: reinforced engineering plastic.

Structural Features: Standard rack plug-in module structure. Two side locking latches fix module to rack backplane. Front panel has LED indicators and signal terminals for speed probe. Rear multi-pin gold-plated connector connects rack backplane power and communication bus. Internal metal shielding reduces external electromagnetic noise. Vent slots on shell for passive heat dissipation.

Working Principle: Magnetic pickup speed probe generates pulse signal with rotation of gear on rotor. The pulse signal transmits to MMS6210 module. Internal circuit counts pulse frequency and calculates real-time rotating speed and phase. The module compares speed value with preset overspeed and underspeed threshold. When overspeed condition is triggered, hardware circuit immediately activates trip relay. Real-time speed and phase data upload to upper monitoring system through RS485 bus.

Installation Requirements: Insert module into designated slot of MMS rack and lock side latches. Use shielded twisted pair cable for speed probe wiring. Separate probe signal cable from high voltage power cable. Cut off rack power before plugging or removing module. Complete threshold configuration after power on.

Precautions for Use: Keep speed probe installation gap within specified range. Wear anti-static wristband when maintaining module. Check probe cable and connector tightness periodically. Do not install in environment with conductive dust. Verify overspeed protection function during regular machinery overhaul.
