Description
Emerson VE3007
Technical Specifications
- Number of input channels: 16 discrete input channels
- Rated input signal: 24VDC
- Operating temperature: 0°C to 60°C
- Storage temperature: -40°C to 85°C
- Ambient humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing
- Photoelectric isolation for each individual channel
- Configurable input filter for signal anti-jitter
Functional Features Independent opto-coupler isolation for every input channel isolates field circuit and system bus circuit to eliminate ground loop interference. Each channel is equipped with LED indicator to display real-time switch status. Configurable digital filter suppresses signal bounce and transient noise. Built-in channel diagnosis detects wire break and abnormal loop state. Hot swap operation allows online module replacement without interrupting the operation of remaining modules in the rack.
Application Scenarios Applied in petrochemical plants, pharmaceutical factories, natural gas processing stations and pulp mills. Installed in DeltaV main control cabinets and remote I/O cabinets to collect switch feedback signals of valves, pumps and field interlock switches.
Performance Parameters
- Accurate identification of switch state changes
- Fast signal response speed
- Strong surge and electromagnetic interference resistance
- Stable isolation performance for long continuous running time
Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic outer housing. Industrial flame-retardant PCB populated with opto-coupler chips, sampling resistors and protection capacitors. Gold-plated backplane contact pins resist oxidation and maintain low contact resistance. Terminal blocks use corrosion-resistant copper alloy.
Structural Characteristics Vertical plug-in card structure matching DeltaV rack backplane slots. Front panel integrates field wiring terminals and channel status LED lamps. Mechanical locking buckle prevents loosening caused by cabinet vibration. Internal circuit layout separates each channel to avoid cross-channel signal crosstalk.
Working Principle 24VDC or dry contact signal from field equipment enters the module via front terminal blocks. The signal passes through photoelectric isolation and signal shaping circuit and converts to standard digital signal. Digital data is transmitted to DeltaV controller through rack backplane bus. The module continuously monitors each input channel and uploads fault diagnostic messages to the DeltaV operator station once loop abnormality is detected.
Installation Requirements Install vertically in standard DeltaV cabinet rack. Lock the buckle after full insertion of the module. Field signal cables use shielded twisted pair wires. Separate signal cables and high-voltage power cables in different cable trays. Maintain cabinet dry and dust-free environment.
Use Precautions Do not feed high voltage signals exceeding rated range into digital input channels. Verify wiring definition and channel mapping before powering on. Inspect terminal blocks regularly for dust accumulation and corrosion. Do not disassemble the sealed module housing.
