Honeywell 51305190-175

Product Introduction This pulse input FTA termination assembly is the field wiring termination interface for Honeywell TDC3000 UCN pulse input subsystem. It serves as the wiring bridge between pulse input processor card and field pulse sensors. It provides surge protection, loop fusing and signal shaping for pulse and frequency signals from turbine flow meters, shaft speed probes and rotary encoders. It transmits conditioned pulse signals to matched pulse input processor card and feeds back wiring fault information to DCS diagnostic system. It supports high-precision pulse signal acquisition and flow totalization for process metering systems.

Material Composition PCB Substrate: High-TG flame-retardant FR-4 multi-layer glass fiber board Fast blow miniature fuse components TVS transient suppression diodes Pulse signal shaping and buffer chips Gold-plated ribbon cable connector contacts Gold-plated field screw terminal block contacts Cold-rolled steel front panel with electrostatic spray coating

Structural Features Standard European pluggable board structure, installed in dedicated FTA slot of UCN marshalling rack. Front panel is equipped with run indicator light, fuse fault indicator light and individual channel pulse indicator lights. Two groups of terminal connectors are arranged on the side panel, one for field pulse sensor wiring and one for ribbon cable connection to pulse input processor card. Each channel fuse adopts replaceable structure for convenient on-site maintenance. High-speed pulse signal traces adopt controlled impedance layout to prevent signal distortion.

Working Principle Pulse signals from field sensors enter the assembly through marshalling terminals. Each pulse channel passes through fuse and surge suppression circuit to absorb transient voltage spikes. The signal shaping circuit converts irregular pulse waveform into clean square wave signal. The conditioned pulse signal transmits to matched pulse input processor card via ribbon cable. The supervision circuit continuously monitors loop current and impedance. When fuse blows or field wire breaks, the assembly generates fault signal and uploads alarm information to rack IOP processor.

Installation Requirements Insert the assembly vertically into the dedicated FTA slot of UCN marshalling rack and tighten fixing screws. Connect field pulse sensor shielded twisted pair cables to field terminals and ribbon cable to pulse input processor card side terminals. Use factory specified ribbon cable to connect this FTA assembly with corresponding pulse input processor card. Ground the shielding layer of shielded cable at FTA side only. Download channel supervision configuration parameters from Control Builder software after power-on. Verify pulse signal transmission and fuse fault alarm function on the HPM diagnostic screen.

Precautions Release static electricity before plugging the assembly to protect buffer and shaping chips. Only replace fuse with the same rated current, higher rating fuse loses protection capability. Do not connect AC voltage signals to pulse input terminals. Pulse cables must be separated from high-power inverter output cables to avoid interference. This assembly must be used together with matching UCN pulse input processor card, it cannot work independently.
