HIMA F3331

Product Introduction The F3331 is SIL3 certified 8-channel digital safety output module for HIMA HIMatrix safety system. It receives safety trip or enable commands from safety CPU and outputs 24VDC safety switching signals to field safety actuators such as safety solenoid valves and safety relays. Continuous hardware diagnosis monitors each output channel for wire break, short circuit and internal switching fault. It provides safe de-energization function for emergency shutdown safety logic.

Working Principle Safety CPU sends trip or enable commands to F3331 module via safety backplane bus. The safety MOSFET switches control 24VDC power supply to field safety actuators. Each output channel continuously monitors current and voltage to detect wire break and short circuit. When fault is detected, the module cuts off output power and sends fault report to safety controller. The dual diagnostic path cross checks switching state to guarantee safety function.

Installation Requirements

  • Install module into HIMatrix F35 DIN rail rack.
  • Use shielded twisted pair cable for field safety actuator wiring.
  • Separate safety signal cables from high power motor cables.
  • Complete protective earth connection for rack and cabinet.
  • Verify wiring polarity for all 24VDC field actuators.
  • Perform channel fault simulation test after installation.
  • Check backplane bus connection before power energization.

Usage Notes

  • Do not hot plug module outside approved hot-swap configuration.
  • Do not exceed rated 0.5A current per output channel.
  • Keep cabinet environment dry and free of corrosive gas.
  • Execute periodic SIL proof test according to safety procedure.
  • Disconnect field wiring before high voltage insulation test.
  • Use anti-static protection for spare module handling.
  • Replace module immediately when permanent hardware fault occurs.
