Material Composition PCB Substrate: High-TG flame-retardant FR-4 multi-layer glass fiber board, analog and digital circuit partition layout High-precision ADC analog-to-digital conversion chip Signal conditioning and current sampling components Channel group isolation optocoupler chips Gold-plated back edge fingers Gold-plated field terminal block contacts Cold-rolled steel front panel with electrostatic spray coating
Structural Features Standard European pluggable card structure, installed in dedicated analog input slot of UCN I/O rack. Front panel is equipped with run indicator light, group fault indicator lights and general fault indicator light. Field wiring terminals are arranged on the side panel with polarity marking for current signal wiring. Analog signal traces are surrounded by shielding copper layer to reduce crosstalk and interference. Each group of 4 channels adopts independent isolation barrier.
Working Principle 4-20mA current signals from field transmitters enter the module through shielded twisted pair cables. The isolation circuit separates field loop and internal logic circuit. The sampling resistor converts current signal into voltage signal. The conditioning circuit filters high-frequency noise and stabilizes signal amplitude. The ADC chip converts analog voltage signal into digital value. The FPGA chip reads digital data, executes scaling calculation and converts raw data into engineering value. It sends measurement data and fault information to rack IOP processor through backplane bus. It records open circuit and over-range fault events with time stamp.
Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into the dedicated analog input slot of UCN rack and tighten front panel fixing screws. Connect transmitter shielded twisted pair cables to the corresponding terminal ports following polarity marking. Ground the shielding layer at the module side only. Download channel scaling, filter parameters and transmitter wiring mode from Control Builder software after power on. Verify measurement accuracy and fault alarm function on the HPM diagnostic screen.
Precautions Release static electricity before plugging the module to protect high-precision ADC circuit. Do not connect high voltage AC signals to analog input terminals. Analog signal wiring must be separated from high-power inverter and AC power cables. Loose terminal contacts lead to signal fluctuation and unstable measurement reading. Confirm transmitter load resistance matches module specification before commissioning.
