Honeywell 51402619-230

Product Introduction This LCN gateway communication processor module is a high-performance LCN gateway core processor for Honeywell TDC3000 TPS LCN network. Revision 230 matches the 51402618-230 gateway interface hardware and provides enhanced protocol processing and data buffering capability. It runs gateway firmware, completes message parsing, data mapping and protocol conversion between LCN network and external auxiliary systems. It supports large-volume historical data forwarding, third-party system interconnection and remote host communication. It delivers stable gateway data service for large-scale TPS systems with heavy external data exchange demand.

Honeywell 51402619-230

Technical Specifications Bus Interface: Dual redundant LCN coaxial bus, BNC connectors Communication Rate: 5Mbps Auxiliary Communication Interface: Multi-channel serial differential port Backplane Interface: Gateway internal parallel backplane bus Power Supply: 5V DC Power Consumption: 9.7W Operating Temperature Range: 0℃ to 65℃ Storage Temperature Range: -40℃ to 85℃ Isolation Withstand Voltage: 1500V AC Relative Humidity: 5% to 95%, non-condensing

Functional Features It executes hardware encoding, decoding and CRC verification of all LCN bus messages. It supports configurable bidirectional data mapping table between LCN points and external system registers. It supports redundant dual LCN bus connection and automatic bumpless switching upon link failure. It carries out data buffering and burst traffic smoothing to avoid LCN network congestion. It continuously monitors signal amplitude, noise level and internal chip running state. It supports hot swap operation. It records communication error logs, data forwarding records and point mapping fault events. It has enhanced error retransmission mechanism for long-distance serial communication.

Application Scenarios Historical alarm and trend data uploading from TPS LCN network to external data servers. Data interconnection between TPS DCS and auxiliary boiler, water treatment and waste gas control subsystems. Gateway communication for remote host system reading LCN point data. Upgrade and replacement of old revision LCN gateway processor modules in petrochemical and power plant TPS systems.

Performance Parameters Message Forwarding Latency: ≤75μs Clock Synchronization Precision: ±0.8ms Maximum Point Mapping Quantity: 12000 points Single Node Throughput: 1400 messages per second

Material Composition PCB Substrate: Low-loss high-frequency FR-4 multi-layer board with equal-length RF trace layout High-performance LCN protocol FPGA processing chip Multi-channel serial differential transceiver chip Large-capacity data buffering SRAM chip Gold-plated back edge fingers Gold-plated BNC coaxial connectors Aluminum alloy front panel with anodized anti-oxidation treatment

Structural Features Standard European pluggable card structure, compatible with LCN gateway node rack dedicated processor slot. Front panel is equipped with run indicator light, fault indicator light, LCN A link indicator light and LCN B link indicator light. Two groups of BNC connectors are arranged on the side panel for redundant LCN bus wiring. RF signal area adopts independent metal shielding cover to isolate digital circuit noise. High-speed logic and buffer chips are arranged with dedicated heat dissipation channels.

Working Principle The module receives data and operation commands from the gateway interface backplane bus, packages data into standard LCN message frames and sends frames to the active LCN bus. It receives messages from other LCN nodes, decodes serial data, maps LCN point values to external register addresses and converts data into target serial protocol format. It buffers burst data traffic locally to avoid LCN network overload. It monitors signal quality of two redundant LCN links and switches communication path automatically when the active link fails. It synchronizes the node clock with the LCN network master clock and uploads communication fault logs to the LCN diagnostic system.

Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into the dedicated gateway processor slot of LCN gateway node rack and tighten fixing screws. Adopt 50Ω dedicated RF coaxial cables for A and B LCN bus wiring. Install 50Ω terminal resistors at the physical ends of the LCN trunk bus. After power on, download point mapping table and communication parameter configuration. Redundant LCN cables shall be laid in separate cable trays to avoid simultaneous damage.

Precautions Release static electricity before plugging the module to protect RF transceiver and FPGA chips. Firmware version must match the matched 51402618-230 gateway interface module and whole TPS system version. BNC connector oxidation and cable extrusion cause signal attenuation and communication jitter. Do not fold the coaxial cable with bending radius smaller than specification limit. Dust and moisture accumulation on BNC ports lead to intermittent communication dropout.
