Material Composition 316 stainless steel cylindrical housing PVDF ultrasonic transducer membrane Epoxy sealed internal circuit board Silicone rubber O-ring seal PVC shielded cable M12 nickel plated brass connector Polycarbonate teach button and indicator window

Structural Features Cylindrical compact stainless steel housing. Front ultrasonic transducer face. Side teach-in button and two status LED indicators. Rear integrated cable and M12 connector. Internal epoxy potting for full waterproof protection. O-ring seal between transducer and housing.

Working Principle The transducer emits ultrasonic sound wave at fixed frequency. The sound wave reflects back after hitting target object. The sensor internal circuit calculates flight time of echo and converts time value into distance value. Temperature compensation circuit adjusts sound speed parameter according to ambient temperature. The circuit compares measured distance with configured threshold, then drives digital output and analog output signal accordingly.

Installation Requirements Mount the sensor with clear unobstructed sound beam path. Keep the sensor perpendicular to target surface. Avoid mounting near reflective metal wall and air nozzle. Wire the sensor to 12-24VDC power supply. Press teach button to calibrate near and far detection points. Keep cable away from high frequency inverter cable.

Usage Notes Soft target such as foam and textile will reduce detection range. Strong air flow and compressed air jet will cause unstable reading. Do not scratch the transducer membrane surface. Do not use solvent to clean transducer. The sensor cannot detect small object outside the sound beam angle.
