Description
Honeywell FC-MC-PDOX02
Technical Specifications Multi-channel 24VDC safety digital input; supports dry contact and active safety signal input; per-channel signal filtering and fault detection; module power supply 24VDC from rack backplane; compatible with FSC QMR redundant safety architecture; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; rack slot mounting; UL, CE and SIL3 certification.
Functional Features It gathers safety discrete contact signals from field safety sensors and emergency devices. It filters interference noise on safety signal wiring. It detects channel open circuit and abnormal signal state for safety input points. It transmits validated safety status to redundant FSC controller via backplane bus. It uploads safety point fault and diagnostic information to safety system HMI.
Application Scenarios Gas detector contact signal collection for petrochemical FSC fire and gas system; emergency stop button input expansion for chemical plant safety rack; fire alarm contact signal acquisition for refinery safety control cabinet.
Performance Parameters Safety signal sampling cycle matches FSC safety logic scan rate; fault detection response time satisfies SIL safety requirement; signal filtering will not delay safety trip signal recognition.
Material Composition Main circuit board uses FR4 flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; signal isolation components are safety-grade optocoupler chips; backplane edge connector pins are gold-plated; front panel is coated cold rolled steel; locking latches are spring steel.
Structural Characteristics Vertical plug-in expansion module for FSC safety rack; front panel equipped with power, run, fault and channel status LED indicators; mechanical keying notch to prevent mismatched slot insertion; elastic latches on both sides for rack fixing; passive convection cooling.
Working Principle Field safety contact signals connect to matched termination base and transmit to FC-MC-PDOX02 through backplane connector. Signals pass through noise filtering and isolation circuit. The module samples signal state continuously and judges channel fault condition. Valid safety status data is sent to redundant FSC controller for safety interlock logic operation. If safety signal changes to trip state, the controller executes corresponding safety shutdown logic.
Installation Requirements Install the module into FSC dedicated safety I/O rack slot and lock latches. Use shielded cable for field safety device wiring. Separate safety signal cables and non-safety control cables. Complete safety input loop function test after commissioning. Cabinet protective grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Usage Notes Do not connect non-safety ordinary discrete signals to this safety module. Wear anti-static wrist strap during module replacement. Test channel fault detection function during periodic safety inspection. Do not modify safety input wiring without safety management approval.
