Material Composition Flame retardant ABS plastic base housing Brass screw terminals for wiring connection Brass spring contact pins for detector head electrical connection Nylon anti-tamper lock buckle Silicone rubber sealing ring for ceiling installation Metal fixing screw accessories

Structural Features Circular flat base structure matching standard ceiling electrical back box. Top side carries spring contact pins and twist lock groove for detector head. Bottom side has screw terminals for fire alarm loop cable connection. Anti-tamper lock buckle prevents detector head from being rotated and removed without special tool. Cable entry notch is reserved for loop wiring. The base surface has printed polarity and remote annunciator terminal mark.

Working Principle Fire alarm loop cable connects to base screw terminals. Spring contact pins transmit loop power and communication signal to detector head after detector is twisted and locked onto base. When detector head is removed, the contact pin opens loop circuit and sends trouble signal to fire alarm control panel. Remote annunciator terminal transmits alarm signal to external indicator lamp when detector triggers fire alarm.

Installation Requirements Fix SB401-50 base onto standard electrical back box with fixing screws. Route fire alarm loop cable through cable entry notch and connect wires to corresponding screw terminals. Tighten terminal screws to specified torque. Align detector head with base lock groove and twist clockwise to lock position. Install anti-tamper buckle after detector installation. Test loop trouble signal by removing detector head.

Usage Notes Do not install the base in high temperature, high humidity or corrosive gas environment. Keep contact pins clean and free of dust accumulation. Do not over-tighten terminal screws to avoid brass terminal damage. Verify trouble signal transmission when detector head is removed. Use only matched compatible detector head models for this base.
