Yokogawa CP345

Technical Specifications Industrial RISC processor core; dedicated memory for control database and user strategy; high-speed Vnet communication interface to HIS operator stations and other FCS nodes; SB bus interface for I/O card rack communication; supports dual redundant pairing with bumpless switchover; operating temperature range 0 ℃ to +60 ℃; rack card form factor for CENTUM CS3000 chassis; time synchronization with plant-wide system clock.

Functional Features Deterministic execution of PID, ratio, cascade and batch sequence control; SOE event time stamping with high resolution; online control strategy download without stopping running control loops; continuous data synchronization between primary and standby redundant CPU; comprehensive self-diagnosis of memory, bus and processor faults; alarm and event forwarding to operator HMI stations.

Application Scenarios Petrochemical refinery process control, thermal power plant boiler and turbine DCS, natural gas processing plant, pulp and paper continuous production control systems.

Material Composition High Tg FR4 multilayer control PCB; industrial RISC processor and memory chips; gold-plated rear SB bus edge connectors; front panel LED indicators and status switches; conformal coating for humidity and chemical resistance.

Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in card; front panel with power, run, standby and fault LEDs; rear edge connector for SB I/O bus; internal partitioning between high-speed digital control circuits and network interface circuits.

Working Principle The processor loads configured control strategy from nonvolatile memory after rack power-up. It communicates with I/O modules over SB bus to acquire process variables and send control outputs. Real-time data and alarm events are published on Vnet to operator stations. In redundant configuration, standby CPU synchronizes all database values continuously and takes over control immediately upon primary failure.

Installation Requirements Insert into designated slot of CENTUM CS3000 FCS rack; power down rack before card insertion or removal; terminate Vnet coaxial cable correctly at bus ends; confirm firmware revision compatibility with engineering station software.

Operation Notes Back up control database and system configuration before firmware upgrade; perform redundant switchover test after CPU replacement; inspect Vnet connector and coaxial cable shielding periodically in corrosive plant environments.
