Description
ABB PP835A
Technical Specifications:
- Processor: Intel Atom processor with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB SLC flash memory.
- Display: TFT/LED touchscreen with high color resolution.
- Storage: Supports SD cards (up to 2 GB standard format) and 3x USB Host 2.0 ports.
- Rear Protection: IP20.
Functional Features:
- Enhanced Diagnostics: Built-in LED indicators and comprehensive software diagnostics for rapid troubleshooting.
- Open Platform Architecture: Based on .NET framework technology, enabling multi-brand controller connectivity and remote access.
- Seamless Retrofit: Requires minimal wiring or cutout changes when replacing legacy Panel 800 terminals.
Application Scenarios:
Ideal for system retrofits, metals and mining sub-systems, oil and gas skids, and terminal control applications requiring low-risk, high-speed changeouts.
Performance Parameters:
- Front Panel Dimensions: 204 mm x 143 mm x 73 mm.
- Cutout Dimensions: 188 ± 1 mm x 127 ± 1 mm.
- Weight: 1.4 kg.
Material Composition:
Constructed with an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame and backplate, ensuring excellent heat dissipation and structural rigidity in demanding industrial settings.
Structural Features:
Features an integrated Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Base-T), RS232/RS422/RS485 serial ports, and USB interfaces. The front panel utilizes a double-layer polyester fiber touch membrane with an Autoflex EB coating for superior chemical and scratch resistance.
Working Principle:
Executes the Panel 800 runtime environment locally, rendering high-resolution vector graphics. It manages multi-tasking communication drivers to poll PLCs and update the HMI screens in real-time while handling local data logging via USB/SD.
Installation Requirements:
Install using the provided large-head screw tool or flathead screwdriver. Ensure the overall panel flatness is less than 1 mm and surface roughness Ra < 1.6 μm to maintain the IP66/NEMA-4X front rating.
Usage Precautions:
Strictly separate 24 V DC signal cables from 230/380 V AC power cables. If crossing is necessary, do so at a 90° angle. Use EMC cable glands and ground the shield at 360° to the mounting plate for optimal noise immunity.
