Functional Features It allocates time slice for each UCN device to avoid bus access conflict. It polls each UCN device according to configured scan cycle. It buffers uplink process data and downlink control command to prevent packet loss. It supports downloading configuration parameters and firmware to UCN field controllers. It collects device self-diagnosis data from UCN instruments and controllers. It carries front panel LED indicators for power, bus active and device fault. It supports hot swap replacement in non-critical node configuration. It uploads UCN bus load, device offline status and communication timeout fault to TDC3000 operator station. It supports configurable scan cycle priority for critical control loops.
Application Scenarios Medium and large TDC3000 node UCN bus traffic scheduler Petrochemical plant UCN intelligent transmitter and controller management rack Refinery UCN burner control device communication scheduling Chemical plant batch UCN controller parameter download gateway Power plant auxiliary UCN control network device management

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant conformal coated multilayer PCB 32-bit scheduling FPGA chip Large capacity SRAM data buffer array UCN protocol processing logic chip Backplane bus transceiver chip Isolation and surge protection components Gold plated edge connector for TDC3000 backplane Metal front panel with extraction handle and LED indicators
Structural Features Standard TDC3000 paddle card form factor. Front panel integrates grouped LED indicators and extraction handle. Rear gold plated edge connector mates with rack backplane power and node bus. Internal PCB layout separates high-speed protocol logic circuit and backplane bus circuit to reduce noise interference. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion into rack slot. Locking clip secures module firmly after installation. Conformal coating fully covers PCB surface to resist dust and moisture in industrial cabinet.
Working Principle After receiving power supply from rack backplane, the module completes self-test and loads UCN device schedule table. It sends polling command to each UCN device according to time slice sequence. It receives response data from UCN device and stores data into buffer memory. It forwards valid process data to main processor via node backplane bus. It receives control command from main processor and sends command to target UCN device in assigned time slice. If no response is returned after preset timeout, the module marks device communication fault and uploads alarm.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before inserting module into dedicated UCN controller slot of rack. Lock extraction handle after full seating. Confirm matching with supporting UCN interface board. Configure UCN device list, scan cycle and priority in engineering workstation. Power on rack and verify bus active LED steady on. Verify all UCN devices can be polled and data can be received normally. Test offline alarm by disconnecting one UCN device terminal.
Usage Notes Do not modify device schedule table while critical control loop is running. Keep UCN bus wiring compliant with Honeywell UCN specification. Check terminal screw tightness periodically under vibration environment. Replace module when multiple UCN devices show communication timeout and bus wiring is intact.
