Working Principle: The digital controller collects generator voltage and current signals through high-speed ADC sampling. The built-in microprocessor calculates voltage error and executes PID control algorithm. The output signal drives the PWM power stage to adjust exciter field current. Multiple protection limiters run in parallel in software to restrict operating parameters within safe range. Communication port supports remote parameter setup and data recording.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount in control cabinet, avoid strong magnetic field and heat sources
- Maintain sufficient air circulation around unit
- Separate low voltage signal cables from high power cables
- Ground the equipment according to power station grounding specification
- Shielded cable recommended for voltage and current sensing wiring
Usage Notes:
- Complete parameter configuration via BESTCOMS software before commissioning
- Verify CT and PT ratio settings to prevent measurement error
- Do not exceed rated field output current
- Back up parameter files before firmware update
- Cut off power supply before wiring modification
