Working Principle: Eddy current effect — the probe coil generates a high-frequency alternating magnetic field. The conductive target surface induces eddy currents, and the reverse magnetic field from these eddy currents alters the coil impedance. The proximitor converts this impedance change into a voltage signal proportional to the gap.
Installation Requirements:
- The mounting hole must be machined with 3/8-24 UNF internal thread
- Total system length must match the proximitor
- Armored cable bending radius must meet minimum requirements
- Set gap voltage to -10.0 VDC ± 0.2V
Usage Precautions:
- The armor layer must not be damaged, as this compromises shielding effectiveness
- Cable bending radius must exceed the minimum required value
- Do not replace the probe while energized
- Hand-tighten the connector only; do not overtighten
