Functional Features The smooth side exit case design allows the probe to be mounted in a bore or housing without threads, with the cable exiting from the side of the case rather than the rear. This configuration is ideal for space-constrained installations where rear cable exit would interfere with surrounding components. The armored cable provides mechanical protection. The probe features front and rear seals with FluidLoc cable.

Working Principle The probe generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field at the 25 mm probe tip. Eddy currents induced in the target surface modify the RF field. The Proximitor Sensor detects these modifications and outputs a DC voltage proportional to the gap distance. The side exit configuration does not affect the sensing element performance.
