Structural Features:
- Non-armored design with connector protector for enhanced connection durability
- Factory-terminated connectors on both ends for plug-and-play installation
- Compact diameter suitable for routing through tight machinery clearances
Working Principle:
The extension cable carries the high-frequency eddy current excitation signal from the Proximitor to the NSv proximity probe and returns the modulated signal that varies proportionally with the gap between the probe tip and the target surface. The cable’s precisely controlled impedance and capacitance ensure that the signal integrity is maintained across the full system length.
Installation Requirements:
- Route cable away from high-voltage power lines with a minimum separation of 200 mm
- Maintain minimum bending radius of 45 mm to prevent internal conductor damage
- Secure cable with cable ties to prevent movement or vibration-induced fatigue
- Ensure connector connections are fully seated and locked before energizing
- Total system length (probe integral cable + extension cable) must match the Proximitor configuration
- Verify certification markings match the installation area classification
