Working Principle: The 3500/04 module provides an intrinsically safe barrier between field-mounted sensors in hazardous areas and the 3500 monitor modules. It limits the energy that can pass through to the hazardous area, preventing ignition of explosive atmospheres. Simultaneously, the module’s grounding architecture physically separates analog and digital ground planes, preventing ground loop currents from corrupting sensitive measurement signals.
