Working Principle: The module receives signals from hazardous area sensors, and internal zener safety barriers limit energy transfer to the hazardous area to ensure that even under fault conditions the energy level will not ignite explosive atmospheres. The safety barriers pass signals to the main monitoring module for processing and analysis. Each sensor must be individually connected to the safety barrier I/O module to ensure effective safety protection.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in the rear slot corresponding to the 3500/42M main module
- Must use 3500 Grounding Module to provide intrinsic safety ground connection
- Each sensor must be individually connected to the module, sharing lines is prohibited
