Real-time multitask operating system for deterministic control cycle.
Application Scenarios: High speed packaging machinery, CNC machine tool automation, robotic handling systems, printing and converting machines, plastic extrusion equipment, textile high-speed looms, automated production lines, marine automation control system.
Performance Parameters: Supports short deterministic control cycle for motion control. High speed POWERLINK bus for synchronized multi-axis motion. Large memory capacity for complex PLC and motion programs. Hardware watchdog ensures safe state on system crash.
Material Composition: FR4 high speed industrial printed circuit board. Intel Atom processor, DDR2 memory chips and flash chips. Communication transceivers for Ethernet, POWERLINK and RS232. Flame retardant plastic module housing. Gold plated X2X backplane connector. Integrated backup battery for retentive memory.
Structural Features: X20 standard CPU module form factor. Front panel with LED indicators for power, run, error and communication status. Front side USB and serial connectors. Side X2X Link backplane connector for I/O module stacking. CompactFlash card slot accessible from module front panel. Internal backup battery for retentive variable storage.
Working Principle: After 24VDC power on, the embedded real-time operating system boots up from CompactFlash storage. The main processor executes PLC program, motion control algorithm and data management. Dedicated I/O co-processor handles X2X Link backplane bus data exchange with X20 I/O modules. POWERLINK bus performs synchronized real-time communication with servo drives. Ethernet port communicates with HMI, SCADA or upper level host system. Hardware watchdog continuously monitors system running state and triggers reset on fatal failure. Retentive variables store critical data with backup battery support.
Installation Requirements: Install CPU module at the leftmost position of X20 bus station. Insert CompactFlash card with application program. Install backup battery according to installation manual. Route Ethernet and POWERLINK cables separately. Mount inside IP20 control cabinet. Connect protective earth wire reliably.
Usage Notes: Backup application project and firmware before CompactFlash replacement. Replace backup battery within specified service life to avoid data loss. Use shielded cable for POWERLINK and Ethernet communication. Cut power before inserting or removing CompactFlash card. Check communication LED status after power on.
