Working Principle: Two field transmitters in hazardous zone connect to two independent channels of MTL5544. Each channel’s intrinsic safety circuit limits available energy on field wiring. Isolation components transmit 4-20mA analog signal from hazardous side to safe side separately for each channel. Safe side signals are sent to DCS or PLC analog input modules. Each channel independently monitors loop status and triggers fault indication for abnormal wiring condition.
Installation Requirements: Clip module to 35mm DIN rail in safe control cabinet. Route hazardous field wiring and safe control wiring in separate cable trays. Connect protective earth ground to cabinet grounding terminal. Tighten terminal screws to specified torque. Keep proper gap between adjacent modules for heat dissipation.
Usage Notes: Install only in safe area cabinet, cannot be placed inside hazardous classified zone. Confirm entity parameters match field transmitters before commissioning. Do not open module housing or replace internal components. Do not apply voltage exceeding rated value to terminals. Check terminal tightness and cable insulation regularly.
