Functional Features High-precision resistance sampling circuit measures resistance value of RTD sensors. Working Principle Field platinum RTD sensors connect to terminal base and send resistance signals to module input channels. Precision sampling circuit captures resistance value of each RTD channel. Onboard processor converts resistance value into temperature value with built-in RTD curve algorithm. Temperature data transmits to Ovation controller through backplane bus. The module continuously monitors channel resistance range, triggers fault alarm and uploads alarm message to DCS system when wire break or short circuit is detected.
Installation Requirements Insert module along rack guide rail into Ovation rack slot and lock mechanical latch. Select corresponding wiring mode according to RTD sensor type, use shielded twisted pair cables. Cable shield implements single-point grounding inside control cabinet. Separate RTD signal cables from high-power cables. Reserve air circulation space for module heat dissipation.
Precautions for Use Cut off sensor loop power before wiring work. Verify sensor wiring mode matches module configuration. Check temperature reading accuracy after module replacement. Inspect sensor cable insulation regularly. Do not disassemble module housing.
