Working Principle:
The 248HANAA2XA receives temperature signals from field sensors (RTD, thermocouple, or millivolt sources) through its input terminals. The analog signal is amplified, filtered, and linearized through precision conditioning circuits. A high-resolution ADC converts the analog signal to digital values, which are processed by the internal microprocessor. The processor applies sensor-specific calibration constants, ambient temperature compensation, and cold junction compensation (for thermocouples) to ensure measurement accuracy. The processed temperature value is then converted to a proportional 4-20mA analog output signal, with HART digital communication superimposed on the analog signal. The transmitter continuously performs self-diagnostics, monitoring sensor integrity, internal circuitry, and communication status.
