Emerson A3120

Product Introduction: A3120 is a machinery health monitoring module for Emerson CSI system. It receives vibration and displacement signals from eddy current probes and accelerometers mounted on rotating equipment. It continuously monitors vibration amplitude, phase and displacement of turbines, compressors and pumps. It sends alarm and trip signals when equipment vibration exceeds preset threshold.

Emerson A3120

Technical Specifications: Operating supply voltage 24VDC. Support eddy current probe and accelerometer signal input. Signal bandwidth 0.1Hz ~ 10kHz. Operating temperature -40°C ~ +70°C. Communication interface supports Modbus and proprietary machinery monitoring bus.

Functional Features: Real-time vibration waveform and spectrum collection. Configurable alarm and trip threshold for each channel. Probe cable fault detection. Built-in signal conditioning circuit for vibration sensors. LED status indicators for power, alarm and fault. Support data upload to monitoring workstation.

Application Scenarios: Centrifugal compressor condition monitoring, steam turbine vibration protection, large water pump health monitoring, fan and blower machinery protection, oil and gas rotating equipment online monitoring.

Performance Parameters: Vibration measurement accuracy ±2% full scale. Data sampling rate up to 50kHz. MTBF 400000 hours. Signal delay less than 1ms.

Material Composition: FR-4 flame retardant PCB. UL94-V0 plastic housing. High precision signal conditioning chips, A/D converter, surge protection components, gold-plated terminals.

Structural Features: Rack plug-in module for CSI monitoring rack. Front panel with LED indicators. External terminal block for connecting vibration probes. Internal shielding structure to reduce electromagnetic interference.

Working Principle: Vibration sensors output analog signals to A3120 module. Signal conditioning circuit amplifies and filters raw sensor signals. ADC converts analog vibration signals into digital waveform data. Module calculates vibration amplitude, frequency spectrum and shaft displacement. When measurement value exceeds threshold, module triggers alarm or trip output and sends event log to host system.

Installation Requirements: Install inside dedicated CSI machinery monitoring cabinet. Route shielded cable for vibration probes to terminal block. Separate sensor cables from high power cables to avoid interference. Complete cabinet grounding.

Usage Notes: Use only matched eddy current probes and extension cables. Keep sensor cables away from large motor and inverter power lines. Calibrate module and probe after installation and regular maintenance.
