Technical Specifications: Power supply: 5 VDC supplied by rack backplane Network port: 10/100 Mbps auto-negotiation Ethernet interface Connector type: RJ45 Network protocol: Ovation proprietary Ethernet protocol, TCP/IP Backplane bus: Ovation rack internal high-speed bus Operating temperature: 0 ℃ to 60 ℃ Storage temperature: -40 ℃ to 85 ℃ Relative humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing
Functional Features: Supports redundant network connection to eliminate single point of network failure. LED indicators display link status and data transmission activity. Built-in hardware data buffer prevents packet loss during heavy data load. Galvanic isolation protects rack internal circuit from external network surge interference. Hot-swap module supports online replacement without rack power-off. Comprehensive self-diagnosis monitors network link and module hardware health.
Application Scenarios: Network communication gateway for Ovation DCS rack in thermal power plants, petrochemical process control system, pulp and paper factory automation network, metallurgical plant process monitoring network, water treatment plant DCS network interconnection.
Performance Parameters: Typical power consumption: 3.5 W Vibration resistance: 10 Hz to 150 Hz, 0.5 g Shock resistance: 10 g peak acceleration, 11 ms duration MTBF value: 214000 hours
Material Composition: Outer housing: UL94-V0 flame-retardant engineering plastic. Main circuit board: FR-4 glass fiber epoxy printed board. Backplane connector pins: gold-plated copper alloy. RJ45 network connector adopts nickel-plated metal shielded structure. Side locking latches use reinforced engineering plastic.
Structural Features: Standard Ovation rack plug-in module structure. Two side locking buckles for rack mounting. Front panel equipped with RJ45 network port and LED status indicator group. Upper shell surface has ventilation grille for passive heat dissipation. Rear multi-pin gold-plated connector docks rack backplane power and internal bus.
Working Principle: The module obtains working power from rack backplane. It receives data packets from Ovation control processor via internal rack bus. It encapsulates data into Ethernet frames and transmits to upper network nodes through RJ45 port. It receives commands and configuration data from operator stations and historians on plant network, then forwards data to control processor through backplane bus. Redundant network ports realize automatic switchover once one network path fails.
Installation Requirements: Insert module into specified communication slot on Ovation rack. Lock two side latches completely. Use shielded industrial Ethernet cable for network wiring. Separate Ethernet communication cables and high-power frequency converter cables. Cut off rack power supply before plugging or unplugging module.
Precautions for Use: Do not apply excessive force on RJ45 connector. Wear anti-static wristband during maintenance work. Regularly clean dust on ventilation grille. Do not install in environment with oil mist or corrosive vapor. Replace module immediately if network port physical damage occurs.
