Description
Emerson EPXPNS001
Technical Specifications: Power supply: 24 VDC Bus transmission rate: high-speed differential motion bus Maximum expansion rack quantity: up to 8 racks Transmission cable type: shielded differential cable Galvanic isolation: 1500 VAC between main rack and expansion rack bus Operating temperature: 0 ℃ to 55 ℃ Storage temperature: -40 ℃ to 85 ℃ Relative humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing
Functional Features: Differential signal transmission improves anti-interference performance. Supports hot-swap of expansion rack modules. LED indicators display bus link status and data activity. Built-in bus fault diagnosis detects cable breakage and communication abnormality. Isolation circuit blocks surge and noise cross transmission between racks. Supports automatic expansion rack address identification.
Application Scenarios: Distributed I/O expansion for large packaging production line, remote signal collection for printing equipment, multi-rack motion control for textile machinery, long-distance signal expansion for automated warehouse handling equipment, multi-station assembly line distributed control system.
Performance Parameters: Typical power consumption: 3.2 W Maximum transmission distance: 100 meters with standard shielded cable Vibration resistance: 10 Hz to 150 Hz, 0.5 g Shock resistance: 10 g peak acceleration, 11 ms duration MTBF value: 204000 hours
Material Composition: Module housing: UL94-V0 flame-retardant thermoplastic. Main circuit board: FR-4 glass fiber epoxy substrate. Backplane connector pins: gold-plated copper alloy. Bus signal connector uses shielded metal structure. Side locking latches: reinforced engineering plastic.
Structural Features: Standard rack plug-in module. Two side locking latches fix module to rack backplane. Front panel equipped with bus connector and LED status indicators. Ventilation grille on upper shell for heat dissipation. Rear multi-pin gold-plated connector connects rack backplane power and internal bus.
Working Principle: Module obtains working power from rack backplane. It receives data packets from main motion processor and forwards data to remote expansion rack through differential bus. It collects I/O status and alarm data from expansion rack and transmits back to main control rack. Isolation circuit cuts off ground loop between main rack and expansion rack. Bus monitoring circuit judges link integrity in real time.
Installation Requirements: Install module in dedicated expansion interface slot of main rack and expansion rack. Use specified shielded differential bus cable. Keep bus cable away from motor power cable. Cut off rack power before plugging or removing module. Set unique address for each expansion rack according to manual.
Precautions for Use: Do not use non-specified cable for expansion bus. Wear anti-static wristband during maintenance. Regularly check cable connector tightness. Avoid installation in environment with oil mist and corrosive gas. Replace module when persistent bus link failure occurs.
