Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic outer housing. Functional safety grade electronic components. Isolation protection components for each output channel. Gold-plated backplane connector pins with anti-oxidation treatment. Terminal blocks use corrosion-resistant copper alloy.
Structural Characteristics Standard plug-in card design for DeltaV SIS cabinet slots. Front panel is equipped with field safety loop wiring terminals and channel status LED lamps. Mechanical anti-loosen locking buckle. Internal circuit layout provides electrical isolation between channels.
Working Principle Safety commands from SIS controller are transmitted to module via rack backplane safety bus. Internal safety drive circuit controls the on and off state of each output channel to actuate field safety equipment. The module continuously monitors the state of output load and field wiring. Once wire break or short circuit is detected, fault information is uploaded to SIS operator station. Periodic self-test checks internal hardware integrity and reports permanent hardware faults.
Installation Requirements Install inside dedicated DeltaV SIS safety cabinet. Safety signal cables must be separated from non-safety control cables. Cable shielding adopts single-point grounding. All wiring and commissioning work must strictly follow DeltaV SIS official installation manual.
Use Precautions Only certified functional safety technicians can carry out wiring, commissioning and maintenance activities. Safety signal cables cannot be laid together with high-voltage power cables. Complete full loop function test during system commissioning. Replace the module immediately when persistent diagnostic faults appear.
