Working Principle: Field discrete digital signals are sent into module terminal block. Optocoupler isolates field signals and converts into digital logic level. Module sends channel status data to DeltaV controller. Controller sends sequence logic commands back to module to drive digital output channels. Diagnostic circuit continuously monitors field wiring condition.
Installation Requirements: Install into DeltaV I/O rack. Lock front latch after module insertion. Connect field discrete wiring to terminal block and tighten terminals. Maintain non-condensing environment.
Usage Notes: Do not connect inductive loads without surge suppression. Check batch interlock logic after commissioning. Avoid installation in corrosive gas environment.
