Functional Features Multi-channel status acquisition circuit reads running state of each module on rack backplane. Data aggregation circuit integrates all rack hardware status information into unified data packet. Bidirectional LocalBus communication transmits aggregated status data to DeltaV controller. Front-panel LED indicator displays general rack hardware fault alarm. Plug-in rack mechanical design supports hot swap under non-critical process operating conditions.
Application Scenarios DeltaV DCS main control racks and remote I/O racks deployed in chemical plants, oil refineries and pulp and paper mills. It realizes centralized collection and reporting of hardware running status for all modules installed inside DeltaV rack.
Performance Parameters Status acquisition circuit reads module state signals reliably within full working temperature range. Data aggregation circuit processes multi-point status signals without data loss. LocalBus communication guarantees stable transmission of rack status and alarm events.
Material Composition Flame-retardant engineering plastic front panel. Multi-layer flame-retardant glass-fiber epoxy printed circuit board. Signal acquisition chips, data processing microprocessor and LED indicators. Gold-plated copper alloy backplane connector with anti-oxidation plating. Metal shielding components for noise suppression.
Structural Features Standard plug-in card matching DeltaV rack slot. Front panel equipped with rack general fault LED indicator. Guide rails and mechanical latch fix module firmly inside rack frame. Rear gold-plated connector mates precisely with DeltaV rack backplane. Internal shielding structure reduces electromagnetic noise impact.
Working Principle Module connects with rack backplane through rear gold-plated connector. Status acquisition circuit continuously polls hardware state of every module on rack. Data processing unit integrates all collected module status signals into unified data packet. Aggregated status data transmits to DeltaV controller via LocalBus backplane. When any module hardware fault or offline event is detected, module triggers general rack fault flag and uploads alarm message to DeltaV operator station.
Installation Requirements Insert module along rack guide rail into assigned DeltaV rack slot and lock mechanical latch. Verify full engagement between module connector and rack backplane. Keep cabinet air circulation unblocked for module heat dissipation. Finish hardware identification in DeltaV engineering workstation after installation.
Precautions for Use Carry out anti-static protection during module handling. Do not touch gold-plated connector pins with bare hands. Check connector contact condition during regular cabinet maintenance. Do not apply overvoltage to backplane interface. Do not disassemble module outer housing.
