Working Principle Safety logic commands generated by SIS controller are transmitted through this communication module to safety I/O modules. Field safety signals and module diagnostic data from I/O modules are uploaded back to SIS controller and operator station. The module performs data checksum verification for every safety message. Internal self-test circuit monitors hardware integrity continuously and reports permanent faults.
Installation Requirements Install in dedicated DeltaV SIS safety cabinet. Safety communication cables must be separated from non-safety control cables. Cable shielding adopts single-point grounding method. All wiring and commissioning work follow DeltaV SIS official installation specification.
Use Precautions Only certified functional safety technicians can perform wiring, commissioning and maintenance. Safety communication cables cannot be laid together with high-voltage power cables. Complete communication loop test after installation. Replace module immediately when persistent diagnostic faults are detected.
