Description
Emerson KJ4003X1-BC1
Technical Specifications: Input voltage range 85VAC to 264VAC, output voltage 24VDC, rated output current 10A. Operating temperature range spans from ‑40°C to +70°C. Storage temperature range is ‑40°C to +85°C. Isolation voltage reaches 2500VAC between input and output terminals.
Functional Features: Built‑in voltage monitoring circuit, real‑time upload of power status to DeltaV controller. Equipped with hot‑swap function, module replacement can be executed without shutting down the entire rack. Integrated fault indicator LED, visual display of power running status, alarm status and fault status. Short‑circuit protection, overvoltage protection and overcurrent protection are integrated inside the module.
Application Scenarios: Petrochemical plants, natural gas processing stations, power generation facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing workshops, pulp and paper production lines, water treatment control rooms and other industrial DCS control cabinet power supply occasions.
Performance Parameters: Power conversion efficiency is higher than 90%. Voltage fluctuation of output terminal is less than ±1%. Response time for fault protection is less than 10ms. MTBF value is 500000 hours under normal operating environment.
Material Composition: Main circuit board uses high‑temperature FR‑4 flame‑retardant PCB. Outer shell adopts high‑strength black ABS flame‑retardant plastic. Internal electronic components include high‑power electrolytic capacitors, insulated gate transistors, high‑precision resistors and optocoupler isolation chips. Metal contact terminals are gold‑plated copper alloy.
Structural Features: Standard 8HP rack‑mounted structure, suitable for DeltaV series I/O backplane. Built‑in metal heat sink for passive heat dissipation. Front panel carries LED indicator group and status reporting interface. Back adopts spring‑loaded gold‑plated pin connectors to connect with the rack backplane.
Working Principle: The module converts AC mains input into stable 24V DC power through rectification, filtering, voltage regulation and isolation circuit. The built‑in monitoring circuit continuously detects output voltage and current. When abnormal electrical signals are detected, the protection circuit activates immediately to cut off the output and send fault diagnostic signals to the system controller.
Installation Requirements: Install inside the DeltaV dedicated control cabinet. Keep 20mm clearance on upper and lower sides of the module for air circulation. Install in horizontal orientation only. Tighten the locking screw on the front panel after inserting into the backplane. Ground the cabinet and module with 14AWG grounding wire. Ambient humidity must be maintained between 5% and 95% non‑condensing.
Usage Notes: Do not operate the module beyond the specified input voltage range. Avoid installation in environment with corrosive gas, conductive dust or strong vibration. Cut off the power supply before removing the module for maintenance except hot‑swap operation. Conduct regular inspection of fan and heat dissipation status of the cabinet. Do not disassemble the module shell arbitrarily, internal circuits have no user‑serviceable parts.
