Functional Features
Internal power distribution circuit distributes DC power from power module evenly to each module slot. Sampling circuit collects real‑time voltage and current data of each power channel. Status communication circuit transmits power operation data and fault information to Ovation controller. Front panel LED indicators display power distribution state and fault alarm. Standard plug‑in design supports hot swap under non‑critical working conditions.
Application Scenarios
Ovation DCS main control racks and remote I/O racks in power plants, chemical plants and paper mills. It realizes power distribution and power status monitoring inside DCS rack.
Performance Parameters
Power distribution circuit keeps stable voltage transmission under full rack load. Sampling circuit collects voltage and current data with high precision. Communication circuit ensures reliable transmission of power status data. Internal circuit maintains stable performance under long‑term cabinet vibration.
Material Composition
Flame‑retardant engineering plastic front panel. Multi‑layer flame‑retardant glass fiber epoxy PCB. Power sampling chips, communication processing chips and LED indicators. Gold plated copper alloy backplane connector. Copper power traces with anti‑oxidation plating.
Structural Features
Standard plug‑in card for Ovation rack slot. Front panel equipped with LED indicators for power distribution and fault alarm. Guide rails and mechanical latch lock module firmly in rack. Rear gold plated connector mates with rack backplane. Internal PCB integrates power distribution traces and signal sampling circuit.
Working Principle
DC power from rack power module enters SP6412 module through backplane connector. Internal power traces distribute DC power to each module slot on backplane. Sampling circuit collects voltage and current data of each power channel. Collected data transmits to Ovation controller through dedicated communication circuit. When power abnormality occurs, module generates fault signal and uploads alarm to DCS system.
Installation Requirements
Cut off rack power supply before module installation. Insert module along rack guide rail into designated slot and lock mechanical latch. Confirm backplane connector fully mates with module. Keep rack ventilation path unblocked. Configure power monitoring parameters in DCS engineering station after hardware installation.
Precautions for Use
Take anti‑static protection when handling module. Do not touch gold plated connector pins directly. Inspect connector contact status regularly. Do not apply overvoltage to module power terminals. Do not disassemble module housing.
