Structural Characteristics Standard Ovation I/O card form factor. Rear gold plated edge connector inserts into rack backplane. Front panel has extraction handle and LED indicators. PCB separates analog output circuit and digital communication circuit to reduce electromagnetic interference. Mechanical size and pin assignment fully compatible with VE3051C0.
Working Principle Ovation controller transmits digital setpoint command to VE3051CO through rack backplane bus. D/A converter converts digital value into 4-20mA analog current signal to drive field control equipment. Internal sampling circuit monitors output loop condition. Fault status is uploaded to controller when loop abnormality occurs.
Installation Requirements
- Insert VE3051CO into rack guide slot, push fully and lock front handle.
- Connect field control wiring to terminal block, adopt shielded twisted pair cable.
- Configure channel parameters and fail-safe value in Ovation engineering workstation.
- Complete loop calibration before commissioning.
- Separate signal wiring and high voltage power wiring.
- Ensure cabinet protective ground is reliable, grounding resistance less than 4 ohms.
Usage Precautions
- Do not connect high voltage to analog output terminals. Overvoltage burns channel circuit.
- Set fail-safe value for each channel before online running.
- Hot swap operation must follow Ovation official maintenance procedure.
- Do not touch gold plated connector pins.
- No field repairable parts. Replace entire module after failure.
- Prevent metal debris falling into rack slot during installation.
