Working Principle: DeltaV controller sends digital setpoint command to VE4005S1B3 through rack LocalBus backplane. Onboard D/A chip converts digital value into analog signal. Built-in monitoring circuit detects output loop open circuit, short circuit and overload condition, and sends fault alarm to DeltaV system. All channels can be independently configured through DeltaV configuration software.
Installation Requirements: Plug module into assigned slot of DeltaV I/O rack. Install supporting terminal block and complete field instrument wiring. Use shielded twisted pair cable for 4-20mA output loop. Route analog signal cables away from high voltage power cables. Install rack in ventilated IP20 control cabinet. Complete protective earth connection of rack chassis.
Usage Notes: Calibrate output channel zero and span during system commissioning. Check loop load resistance before activating analog output. ESD protection must be applied when handling module. Module replacement can be performed online with hot swap function. Inspect terminal block tightness regularly in high vibration cabinet.
