Working Principle
Acts as a passive electrical distribution network. It routes 24 VDC power from the power supply to each slot and provides the high-speed fieldbus communication path between the Field Control Processor (FCP) and the plugged-in FBM modules.
Installation Requirements
Must be mounted horizontally on a standard DIN rail or secured directly to a cabinet backplane. Ensure adequate clearance above and below for airflow. Connect redundant power supplies to the designated terminals.
Usage Precautions
Always verify the DIP switch settings match the engineering configuration before powering up. Never force an FBM into a slot; ensure proper alignment. Ground the baseplate chassis to the cabinet ground stud.
