Working Principle: Field contact signals connect to each input terminal. The sampling circuit detects voltage level of each channel and judges switch on/off state. The diagnostic circuit monitors line impedance to identify open circuit or short circuit fault. Valid signal status and fault data are transmitted to safety controller over safety bus. The module continuously monitors internal hardware health and reports self-fault to safety system.
Installation Requirements:
- Install module on 35 mm DIN rail inside safety control cabinet
- Wear anti-static protection during handling
- Use shielded twisted pair cable for field safety signal wiring
- Keep signal cables separated from high voltage power wiring
- Complete protective earth connection of cabinet
- Maintain operating temperature within -20 °C to +60 °C
- Prevent dust accumulation inside cabinet
Usage Notes:
- Complete safety logic configuration in HIMA programming software before commissioning
- Execute proof test of all input channels periodically
- Disconnect field power supply before changing wiring
- Do not apply voltage exceeding 24 VDC to input terminals
- Check terminal screw tightness during routine maintenance
- Confirm bus communication recovery after hot swap replacement
