Working Principle
The X-CPU01 receives power from the HIMax system backplane and executes safety-related user programs. It communicates with I/O modules and other controllers through safe Ethernet. During operation, the module continuously monitors its own hardware and program execution. If a fault is detected, it stops the user program, resets variables to initial values and transitions to a safe state. Event information is stored for diagnostics and maintenance.
Installation Requirements
- Install only in a compatible HIMax rack or connection board.
- Verify that the system power supply meets the 24 V DC requirement.
- Follow HIMA wiring and grounding requirements.
- Use approved Ethernet cables for safe Ethernet communication.
- Ensure adequate ventilation inside the control cabinet.
- Do not insert or remove the module while the system is energized unless permitted by HIMA procedures.
- Configure the module using the approved HIMA PADT software.
- Confirm that the hardware and software revisions are compatible with the installed HIMax system.
Precautions for Use
- Only qualified safety system personnel should configure or service the module.
- Do not bypass safety diagnostics or fault indications.
- Back up the safety program before maintenance or replacement.
- Investigate ERROR STOP conditions before restarting the system.
- Use only genuine HIMA accessories and connection boards.
- Keep the module free from conductive contamination and moisture.
- Record hardware and software revisions during maintenance.
- Refer to the official HIMA HIMax and X-CPU01 documentation for exact specifications and procedures.
