Working Principle: Field 24 VDC switch signals enter each input channel terminal. The onboard diagnostic circuit samples each channel continuously. The module detects open circuit, short circuit and valid on/off state of field switches. Valid digital status and fault information are encoded and transmitted to HIMA safety CPU through HiMATIC safety bus. If any channel fault is detected, fault code is reported immediately and corresponding LED indicator activates.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount module on standard 35 mm DIN rail inside safety cabinet
- Wear anti-static wristband during module replacement
- Use shielded twisted pair cable for field safety switch wiring
- Separate safety input cables from high-current power cables
- Connect protective earth of safety cabinet
- Maintain ambient temperature within -20 °C to +60 °C
- Keep cabinet clean and dry
Usage Notes:
- Configure channel type and fault detection parameters in HIMA safety software before commissioning
- Perform full channel proof test after module replacement
- Do not exceed maximum input voltage rating
- Disconnect field power before modifying wiring
- Inspect terminal tightness and PCB coating during maintenance
- Verify bus communication connection after hot swap operation
