Working Principle External DC24 V enters input terminals; after filtering and surge protection it feeds a DC/DC converter that steps down to system DC5 V and DC24 V, supplied through backplane gold fingers to all I/O and CPU modules. In dual redundancy both modules current-share; on single-module failure the other automatically carries full load. Monitoring circuitry continuously detects input/output voltage; abnormalities trigger LEDs and backplane report to CPU.
Installation Requirements
- Insert card into rack power slot with power off
- Connect external DC24 V per drawing
- Connect dual supplies to independent V loops
- Rack grounding
- Cabinet temperature -20 °C to +70 °C
- Verify input voltage polarity after power-up
Precautions
- Confirm redundant other module is healthy before online replacement
- Do not reverse V polarity
- Do not overload the power module
- Periodically inspect output voltage stability
- Store spares in moisture-proof anti-static packaging
- After replacement, confirm power status from CPU software
