Description
Honeywell 05701-A-0351
Technical Specifications Supply voltage 24VDC Operating current 120mA Signal input matches Honeywell UV flame sensor probes Flame response time is adjustable between 0.2s and 4s Relay output contact rating is 5A at 240VAC Operating temperature covers -20℃ to 70℃ Storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃ Humidity range 5% to 95% non-condensing It includes automatic self-check circuit for sensor and amplifier faults
Functional Features It amplifies low-level ultraviolet signals captured by the flame probe. It filters out false signals generated by furnace hot refractory, spark igniters and electrical noise. It provides adjustable flame signal strength threshold. It changes relay state when valid flame is detected or flame loss occurs. It generates fault signals for probe open circuit, probe short circuit and amplifier internal failure. It supports local LED indication of flame strength and fault status.
Application Scenarios Flame signal processing for utility boiler burners in power plants Flame detection amplifier for heating furnaces in refineries Burner safeguard control for thermal oil heaters in chemical plants Flame monitoring for waste incinerator combustion chambers Gas burner flame detection in food processing heating equipment
Performance Parameters Signal amplification gain is continuously adjustable False signal rejection ratio reaches greater than 40dB Flame loss detection response meets NFPA burner safety standards Relay contact mechanical life exceeds 10 million operations
Material Composition Circuit substrate is FR4 flame retardant PCB with protective coating Signal processing components use high stability operational amplifiers Relay components adopt flame-resistant contact materials Enclosure is die-cast aluminum alloy with powder coated surface Terminal blocks use glass-filled nylon insulation
Structural Characteristics Compact rectangular metal enclosure designed for cabinet mounting Front face has potentiometer knobs for threshold and time delay adjustment, plus LED status lights Screw terminal blocks are arranged on the lower side for sensor wiring and control output wiring Internal circuit boards are fixed with vibration-resistant fasteners The enclosure has IP30 protection rating
Working Principle UV photons from flame strike the detector probe and produce tiny pulse current signals. The weak current flows into the 05701-A-0351 amplifier. The amplifier circuit filters background noise and amplifies valid flame pulses. The comparator circuit judges whether the signal strength exceeds the preset threshold. Valid flame signal energizes the flame relay; loss of flame de-energizes the relay and triggers flame failure alarm. The built-in diagnostic circuit continuously checks probe wiring integrity.
Installation Requirements Mount the amplifier inside a control cabinet away from high-temperature furnace surfaces Use shielded twisted pair cable for flame probe wiring Keep probe cables separated from high-current ignition cables Terminals must be tightened to specified torque Verify wiring polarity of 24VDC power supply before energizing
Usage Notes Do not route sensor cables alongside ignition transformer high voltage wires Adjust flame threshold only during commissioning with stable flame conditions Replace the whole assembly when internal circuit damage occurs Conduct regular functional test with flame simulator every maintenance cycle
